When it comes to grocery shopping at Costco, the frozen foods section is the great equalizer. Single people can stock up without worrying about food going to waste (as long as they have the freezer space), and families can load up knowing they won’t have to make three Costco runs in a single week to keep everyone happy. You can feed yourself for all three meals in a day and have snacks on hand to satisfy any stray craving. There’s real beauty in Costco frozen foods. As Sporked‘s deputized Costco expert, here are six things I think you should keep an eye out for.

Sabatasso’s Thin Crust Pizza Singles

Keeping frozen pizza stocked in your freezer is essential, but Costco mostly sells pizzas in three-packs—and having three full-sized pizzas in your freezer is kind of a pain. This box of 12 personal frozen pizzas is the truth and the way. These little suckers—half of them plain cheese, half of them pepperoni—are individually wrapped, so you can ditch the box and just shove them wherever you have room in the freezer. Just be sure to stash the cooking instructions somewhere.

Eggo Chocolate Chip Waffles

Waffles are the perfect sweet snack to have on hand. And since Eggo chocolate chip waffles are among the Sporked crew’s favorite frozen waffles, you might as well go ahead and commit to eating 60 of them. I mean, you trust us RIGHT?? Make six for a seriously filling breakfast (I personally cannot relate to people who eat fewer than six waffles), or make two when you need an afternoon snack with a little sugar to get you through the rest of the day. Really, there’s no wrong time to have a waffle, so an individual, couple, or family will go through all 60 of these in no time.

Kirkland Signature Chicken Bakes

I can’t recommend stocking up on Kirkland hot dogs in the Costco frozen foods aisle; those are next door in the refrigerated section. I can, however, still recommend an easy way to get a taste of the Costco food court in your home with a box of Kirkland Signature Chicken Bakes. Don’t fret if you’re not within convenient driving distance of Costco, these weird pockets of chicken, cheese, bacon, and caesar dressing, all wrapped up in a savory crust, can be as close as your own dang kitchen.

Ling Ling Chicken and Vegetable Potstickers

I love having a big ol’ bag of potstickers in the freezer. Having a bowl of ramen but worried it won’t fill you up? Add a few potstickers to go with! Don’t feel like cooking a full-blown meal? Make a dozen potstickers, that’ll get you sorted! Need an easy appetizer for a party? You guessed it—make the whole bag of ’em! The possibilities for a big bag of potstickers from Costco are endless, so be sure to grab this if you have the freezer space.

Foster Farms Take Out Crispy Classic Buffalo Wings

Chicken wings may be one of the best bulk purchases you can make. They’re universally loved by all (meat eaters), so someone in the house is always going to be in the mood for some wings. They’re also ideal to feed an army of your closest family and friends if you choose to host a watch party for a sports game or the Survivor finale. Sporked tried these wings and found that they’re perfect naked and plain even though they do come with a Buffalo sauce. Pick these up from Costco, and give them a shot with or without sauce.

JonnyPops Organic Rainbow Fruit Stacks Frozen Pops

My Minnesotan bias might be coming through here. JonnyPops are a Minnesota classic, especially at the Minnesota State Fair. They’re also a unique option for dessert in the freezer section at Costco because they have variety built into each lick. Each pop has six layers and each is a different flavor—that’s a lot of flaves on one stick! Plus, they’re vegan and gluten free. This is a must-buy before summer rolls around.
